Simon Minshall is fast becoming one of the most sought after brass musicians of his generation. His expanding career as a freelance Bass Trombonist and Contrabass Trombonist has lead him to work extensively through the United Kingdom and further afield with some of the finest orchestras in the world.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, London, Simon was previously a student at Chethams' School of Music, Manchester. During his time as a student at both establishments, he had the opportunity to study with some of the finest trombone players and pedagogues, including Bob Hughes, Pat Jackman, Robert Burtenshaw, Kevin Price, Les Storey and Keith McNicholl; all of whom have contributed greatly to his career so far. At the age of fourteen, Simon became the youngest ever member of the Fodens Band, which he was a part of from 2005-2009, winning most major brass band competitions.

Simon has also worked commercially with Katie Melua and The Doors, and has also performed with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, London Jazz Orchestra and the Gareth Lockrane Big Band.
